LibreOffice là bộ ứng dụng hiệu suất có khả năng tương thích với các bộ ứng dụng văn phòng chủ yếu, và có thể hoạt động trên rất nhiều nền tảng.

LibreOffice Writer cho phép bạn thiết kế và làm các tài liệu văn bản bao gồm: hình ảnh, bảng biểu, hoặc các bảng xếp hạng, tạo bản vẽ, chèn đồ họa…. Bạn có thể lưu các tài liệu theo nhiều định dạng, bao gồm cả các định dạng OpenDocument (ODF), Microsoft Word .doc hoặc HTML. LibreOffice Writer cũng bao gồm các tính năng hữu ích như là một kiểm tra chính tả, tự động sửa lỗi, và gạch nối.

Web Pages: Một công cụ cho việc tạo các trang web mới là chế độ Web Layout.

LibreOffice Math cung cấp chức năng và định dạng để giúp bạn tạo ra các công thức. Bạn có thể tạo, chỉnh sửa và định dạng công thức cũng như tạo ra một công thức trong cửa sổ lệnh.

LibreOffice Impress cho phép bạn tạo các trình diễn chuyên nghiệp: các biểu đồ, bản vẽ, tạo đồ họa vector, văn bản, đa phương tiện….Nếu bạn muốn, bạn thậm chí có thể làm và sửa đổi các bài thuyết trìnhPowerPoint của Microsoft.

LibreOffice Draw cho phép bạn tạo các bản vẽ đơn giản cũng như phức tạp và xuất chúng trong một số định dạng ảnh phổ biến. Thậm chí bạn còn có thể ra hình khối 3D, hình cầu và thậm chí sửa đổi các nguồn ánh sáng của các đối tượng.
